Flora Collection by Quoizel

The Flora 2 Light Desk Lamp in is part of the Flora Collection by Quoizel. From 1565-1815, Spanish galleons traveled from Mexico to the Philippines where they traded silver for fine porcelain, spices, furniture, and richly embroidered silk shawls. The shawls are elaborately embroidered with peonies, roses, butterflies, birds and other fanciful creatures. The floral pattern on this lamp shade is derived from one of many shawls in the textile collection of the Museum of International Folk Art, in Santa Fe.
