Worldwide acceptance and use of the A-Series are testimony to the precision and integrity of its design. A-Series locksets are constructed of high strength steel and plated for superior corrosion resistance and maintenance-free performance. A variety of knob and lever designs are offered in several finishes and functions to meet quality residential or commercial needs.

Specifications

• Applications: Heavy duty residential, light and medium duty commercial.
• Certifications: ANSI 156.2, 1996, Series 4000, Grade 2. (Formerly FF-H-106C Series 160.) UL Listed for all functions up to 3 hours.
• Exposed Trim: Wrought brass, bronze, or stainless steel. Lever is zinc based, plated to match BHMA symbols.
• Keying: 6-Pin tumbler with two nickel silver keys per lock. Other keying options include master keying, grand master keying, construction keying, and interchangeable core. Classic Primus® and Everest Primus® are also available.
• Door Range: 1 3/8" -1 7/8" (35 mm-48 mm) standard. 2" - 2 ½" (51 mm- 64 mm) doors extended inside, regular parts assembled to order.
• Backset: 2 3/8" (60 mm) standard.

Latches and Strikes

• Standard latches and strikes have adjustable brass or bronze faceplates, furnished in compatible lock trim finish.
• Latches: 1" x 2 ¼" (25 mm x 57 mm), ½" (13 mm) throw standard. 1 1/8" (29 mm) wide faceplates available. Circular drive-in, round corner springlatches and deadlatches are also available.
• Strikes: Square corner. 1 1/8" x 2 3/4" with 1 1/8" lip (29 mm x 70 mm with 29 mm lip). T-strike, furnished with dust box, standard. Optional lip lengths 1" through 2" (25 mm - 51 mm) available. ANSI 1 ¼" x 4 7/8" (32 mm x 124 mm) strike, 1 3/16" (30 mm) and 1 3/8" (35 mm) lips available.

• Cylindrical lock housing. Cold rolled steel, corrosion treated for normal atmospheric conditions
• Key removable outside knobs for easy cylinder replacement
• Solid brass 6-pin cylinders
• No exposed mounting screws
• Meets or exceeds 400,000 cycle ANSI Grade 2 requirements
• Backset: 2 3/8" (60 mm) standard.
